I hope this answers some questions about the details of this optic.A need for a milspec low powered variable optic came up after Somalia in 1993. “S&B CQB Short Dot Scope This article is intended to fill in the blanks on the history and development of the Schmidt & Bender CQB Short Dot 1.1 – 4 x 20mm scope. The scope is in complete serviceable condition with all of his usable life remaining intact.The scopes have an interesting history with the special operations community, please see the article copied and pasted below from a former Army special forces soldier Larry Vickers whom helped this type of optic come to the market. The glass on the scope has no damage or handling characteristics whatsoever, never even being touched by human fingers.
This particular scope has not been shot very much at all but does have handling marks as shown so please note the pictures attached.
I am the original owner of the scope and purchased it when they were first released. The scope will come as pictured so please ask for additional photographs if needed, this is the exact scope as pictured you will receive along with the bullet drop compensators, scope covers, directions along with the Larue Quick detach mount that is currently on the scope. The four bullet drop compensating rings are set up for the following cartridges: 62 grain green tip, 75 Green hornet D, M118 R/16 and M118 R/20 for use with 16 inch and 20 inch SDR 25s.
